Give someone a good cut and they'll look good for a short while; teach them how to style and maintain their look at home and they will always look their best.
Since launching in 2016, that has been the Sovereign way.
Our patrons are our walking, talking brand ambassadors - and we want them to leave the mirror every morning feeling the same way they did when they stepped out of one of our salons.
We offer longer appointments to ensure our clients get the exact style that they want, and so that we can equip them with the skills and products to maintain the look.
In 2019, that commitment to customer service evolved into the addition of two new service lines - Sovereign Image and Sovereign Performance - offering men a holistic approach to image and wellbeing under one roof.
History
Kyle Ross launched his first salon in the West End of Aberdeen's Union Street in 2016 to provide a high-quality grooming service for men.
The business, which initially launched as 'Huntsman', rebranded as Sovereign in 2017 ahead of expansion into Edinburgh.
Since launching the business, Kyle has won a catalogue of industry awards. In 2017 Kyle was named Scottish Men’s Stylist of the Year as well as winning Best Barber UK at the International Barber Awards in Germany.
He was subsequently named Best Barber at the Scottish Hair and Beauty Awards 2018 and was named as one of Scotland's 'Coolest People' by The Herald newspaper.
Marketing expert and former journalist Ryan Crighton became a shareholder in the business in 2018.
Together, they are seeking to establish Sovereign as a major player in the male grooming industry.
