Huntsman founder Kyle Ross has been named as one of Scotland’s coolest people by a national newspaper.
The Herald on Sunday has today published its inaugural ‘Cool List’, featuring who it feels are our top musicians, entrepreneurs, sports stars, actors and influencers.
Kyle – current holder of the Best Barber UK title – features at number 35 in this morning’s list, ahead of people like Scotland striker Erin Cuthbert, Skyscanner co founder Gareth Williams and Geoff Ellis, the man behind T in the Park and TRNSMT.
Describing Kyle, The Herald said: “Those beards are winning. When last year, Kyle Ross, MD of The Huntsman barbers in Aberdeen, went to Nurnberg for the final of the International Barber’s competition, he won the trophy for best UK barber.
“As ambassador for Hanz de Fuko, he’s also traveling the world and attending fashion weeks in London and Paris. But, actually, he doesn’t class himself as a barber. He’s more, he says, of a hairstylist.
“So, those Aberdonians heading to The Huntsman get the kind of attention that comes with that. He teaches them to maintain their style, or gives them one that suits their lifestyle rather than what’s on trend.”
