SALON MANAGER
LOCATION: EDINBURGH

Sovereign Grooming, Scotland's best barber shop, is seeking a skilled and experienced SALON MANAGER  to oversee the daily operations of our shop in Edinburgh.

The ideal candidate will have a passion for the barbering industry, a demonstrable client following and, ideally, a proven track record of managing a successful barber shop.

In return, we are offering a highly-competitive salary, plus the granting of an ownership stake in the business after one year should targets be met.

Responsibilities:

• Manage and supervise the daily operations of the barber shop, including scheduling appointments, managing customer inquiries, and overseeing staff performance.
• Ensure that the shop is clean, organised, and fully stocked with necessary supplies and products.
• Provide exceptional customer service to all clients and ensure that their needs are met and exceeded.
• Maintain a safe and welcoming environment for customers and employees.
• Develop and implement marketing and promotional strategies to increase customer base and revenue.
• Hire, train, and manage staff members, including barbers, receptionists, and assistants.
• Monitor and analyse sales and customer feedback to identify areas for improvement and implement necessary changes.
• Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations and company policies and procedures.

Qualifications:

• At least 3 years of experience in building a client base at a barber shop or a similar retail/service environment.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Excellent customer service skills and the ability to build strong customer relationships.
• Knowledge of barbering techniques, styles, and trends.
• Ability to handle and resolve customer complaints and issues effectively.
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Experience with staff management, including hiring, training, and performance management.
• Knowledge of marketing and promotional strategies.
• Understanding of health and safety regulations and best practice.
