Jamie Taylor named Senior Stylist at Sovereign Aberdeen

A barber who started his career as a Sovereign Grooming apprentice has today been named Senior Stylist at the firm's flagship Aberdeen salon.

Jamie Taylor is graduate of the Sovereign Apprenticeship Scheme, having trained under founder Kyle Ross.

Sovereign Managing Director, Kyle Ross, said: “Jamie joined us as a super talented and keen apprentice and he has gone on to become a key figure in our business, and one of Scotland's top young stylists.

"We are delighted to see 'one of our own' rise to the position of Senior Stylist and it is a just reward for the hard work and talent Jamie has displayed over the years."

If you would like to follow Jamie's path, the Sovereign Grooming Academy offers training courses like no other.

Led by Kyle Ross, winner of Best Barber UK, students will enter into a full-time intensive training course spanning 15 weeks, where they will work towards achieving an SVQ Level 2 in barbering.

Over and above barbering qualifications, students will also develop the skills that make Sovereign barbers that little bit different, including photo shoots, session styling, stage presenting and much more.
